Club Captains Report
Hello to all. Hope we are enjoying our golf ….
SPECIAL REPORT; Remember back a few months and I mentioned that we have the makings of a new SBW. Well, its getting closer and we have KTV. Yes, that’s short for Kingston Taylor Voyle and the latest progression is he has been selected in the Taranaki junior interprovincial team to compete in Cambridge next week at the national tournament, so well done young man. Please take all the Club’s best wishes and play well, this is a great achievement by someone so young ….
Well, Top Dog is nearing the end and we are up to the semis this weekend. So Teddy Bear and his understudy Gazza C will be taking on the Sausage and Big Skully and this will be a great match with Ted and Gazza READY TO GO FOR THAT 3RD EXTRA 19TH HOLE MATCH. Ted said at least he doesn’t need to teach Gazza how to drink so that’s ok. Between Gary and Skully we may not know which team has won later in the bar. Good luck boys. On the other side of the semis is our two local swimming champs Kerry Kaleen Edgecombe and Aquaman Ricey who take on the two wiley old foxes in The Boss Ian Titter and Phil up-the-middle Wilson SO GIVE IT HEAPS LADS AND ALL THE BEST.
Well done to all the rest of you who scored well in the Par comp with division 1 being topped by the Sausage followed by the Rock Fairhurst and in division 2 Austin Wood with a very hot +7 followed by Colin Upson and Mike Burkhart with Aquaman Ricey next ,……oh and Sunstrike snuck in as well, all on +6.

The weather was wet and windy and great to see all the lads turned up as they didn’t want to let their partner down. Still raining at 9 30, the call was made to start the first round of Top Dog next week.
There are 4 rounds of Top Dog, turn up at 9am for a 9 30 mass start.
Hello all, twilight starts on the 3rd October. Please print off the flyer and put up at your workplace.
Saturday Ladies
Lovely golfing conditions on Saturday, quite warm and just a light breeze. The course had dried out and is looking great.
Only one Top Dog match was played. This went to the 21st hole before Nicole & Sue managed get the better of Andrea & Jo. The others played stableford and there were a lot of good scores. Joy Andrews was the best with 43 points and got the $5.00 voucher. Twos were drawn for Lesley & Christine who both get a $5.00 voucher.
This Saturday the competition is LGU, Home Pennant & Foreman Trophy. All net. Jude is the starter.
